Splitter's Farm
Just a short drive from the centre of Bundaberg you'll find Splitter's Farm - an animal rescue sanctuary and five star glamping getaway. Owners Ashley and Carly were driven to buy the formerly drought-ridden property to give their five children a more enriched upbringing than what was offered in town.
But after a desperate plea for help from other farmers, struggling to keep their animals alive during the hardships of drought, the farm slowly became a haven for animals that no longer had a home. Ash and Carly found a new purpose in saving the lives of these animals and have since opened their doors to the public for a hands-on and transformative farm stay experience. Carly says it's good for people to get a little fresh air, sunshine and some dirt under their fingernails.
