From a young age the water has been as much Peppie's home, as land. Some of the most memorable and amazing achievements in her life have been due to her skills in the water. This is why she is so passionate about teaching others to love and enjoy the great benefits the water world has to offer.

From as early as the 70s Peppie has been an advocate for women's surfing at a time when girls weren't encouraged in the sport. She ran the Victorian women's surfing association which became part of the national surfing body. For Peppie now it's all about showing women no matter their age, that you can keep surfing. Anyone can do it. It's a great thing to be a part of.

"To still compete is motivation for me to keep fit and keep young."

She also volunteers for Wrecks and Relics, which is an over 50's surf competition, celebrating the older age bracket in the sport and confirming your age really doesn't matter.
