Mother and daughter team, Lisa and Isabella White, transformed the historic Cairncross House into Miss Midgley's Guesthouse, blending modern design with the building's rich past.
Originally established 159 years ago as a private home, orphanage, and then a school, the guesthouse honors the legacy of the head teacher, Miss Annie Midgley. The Whites combined their backgrounds in architecture to refurbish five self-contained apartments that reflect both contemporary aesthetics and historical charm.
