Hillclimb Racing
Hillclimb, the oldest motorsport championship race in Australia, is in the Tighe family blood and Dean Tighe's passion for the motorsport grew as he did. Dean spent most weekends watching his dad Ivan, take the win in many Hillclimb events.
In fact, it was his father's three Australian Championship titles, that motivated Dean to take up the sport as soon as he could drive. Fifty years on and Dean's passion for the sport - which he describes as drag racing with corners - hasn't waned. The rules are quite free, with minimal restrictions, allowing Dean to build and modify his own cars exactly how he wants.
Dean's wife and daughter are also now part of his team allowing him to continue the family legacy in the generations to come.
