When a blizzard hit midway through a hike in the Scottish Highlands during 1990, Graeme Day found himself building a friendship with a group of French students sheltering from the weather, which changed the course of his life forever. Striking up conversation with a Frenchman whose family worked in the hot air balloon business, a quick trip to France to learn the ropes has become Graeme's livelihood and passion for the 29 years since. His love for the skies has continued to flourish, taking him to sites across the world. Everyday Graeme gets to work alongside his wife Ruth as they own and operate Floating Images Hot Air Balloon Flights, together helping visitors soar above South-East Queensland.
