Growing up on the sandy shores of the Gold Coast, Jeff Anning could never have imagined his childhood love for skateboarding would turn into his life's work. After a trip to Perisher in his twenties, Jeff fell in love with the feeling of snowboarding, and returned home wishing he could recreate it on land. A chance encounter with an electric skateboard got Jeff's mind racing, but when an online order arrived looking more like an oversized toy, he knew he needed to get to work.

Setting out with a dream, a baked bean can, a cardboard cutout and an oversized motor, it wasn't just Jeff who fell in love with his new product. As friends, locals and passers-by stopped him to find out how they could get their hands on a board, Jeff and his wife Fleur knew their lives were about to change forever.
