Having competed in many different sports, including a spell with the Brisbane Bronco's, Ash thought she was testing training data with a friend and ended with an invite on to the ice. She gave it a go and it quickly became an all encompassing passion. But things haven't always been smooth sliding for Ash, with multiple injuries affecting her place in the team as well as qualification without selection.

Entering the 2025/26 without having been on the ice in a while, Ash still has a slim chance to make the team, but her relentless positivity and determination have her in the best shape of her life heading into the trials for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
