Simon's new look has Alene totally in love

After what seemed like hours of extreme arm-pulling and extensive persuasion, Alene finally convinced Simon to cut his hair. In case you forgot it was a major point of contention at the commitment ceremony.

“Ok stuff it,” Simon said, resigning to the realisation that the wife always gets her way in the end.

Alene, as were we, was full of nerves as we awaited the new (and hopefully improved) Simon.

No one knew what to expect, so when a handsome hunk turned up in a crisp suit and a slick hair-cut we couldn’t believe it was the same country larrikin we met at the wedding.

Alene’s inability to string a sentence together was proof enough that she was loving what she saw.

“You look great,” she squealed.

And in case some of us were questioning whether they had bought in a completely new person, Simon was quick to put the record straight.

“It’s still the same me,” he reminded everyone.

“It’s still taking a bit to get used to because I have to admit that it’s a little bit different [and] out of my comfort zone, but it’s a definite nice change.”

While some of you may be sad to see his signature  ringlets go, his new suave appearance is bound to put a little chemistry into his relationship.
