"We're good... as always," Rhi and Jeff laugh.

Well good for them! The same, sadly, cannot be said for Beth and Teejay.

The group are still wrapping their heads around seeing those two having a tough time – but mostly hearing Teejay call her 'darling' approximately 279 times.

They didn't have much resolution last night and it shows this morning, as Teejay explains he is feeling pressured.

All Beth is hoping is that he is willing to give them a try, just like she is.

Down the hall, another groom is seriously done with trying:

MAFS 2025 Ryan writing leave

Spoiler alert: He's written leave. Nine

Last night was an eye-opener for Jacqui. She thinks she did an "absolutely exceptional job" during their one-on-one discussion, where Ryan told her there was nothing left of their relationship worth salvaging.

She seems to think she convinced Ryan to work on things, but he definitely missed that memo.

"I'm writing leave," he says, and he has no doubts. "I just don't think there's a future for us."

Well... this should be interesting, shouldn't it?!

Jamie and Dave

Mel admits the experts are pretty baffled to see Jamie and Dave doing so well after their appearance on the couch last week.

But it was the expert's grilling that helped them get back on track, as Dave says their questions helped him open his mind.

This week, his feelings have progressed.

"I've been showing up and she's been really receptive of the gestures I've made, and that's really helped me come out of my shell," he explains.

From Jamie's perspective, things are good but her rose-coloured glasses are now off.

She doesn't feel like she's "in love" with Dave, which she thinks may be down to fear.

While they're good, John points out that they're no longer the passionate couple they once were and Jamie's guard is still up.

"I can honestly say, I can see it happening one day, I could fall in love with you," Dave reassures her.

"I came here for love and I don't want to be scared anymore."

We're BACK BABAAAY! Nine

Look. No one wants to see their partner cry, but Jamie does admit watching Dave become emotional about how much he hurt her is nice.

She wants to see it through, so she's written 'stay'. Dave, of course, joins her in that decision.

Rhi and Jeff

Our golden pair are, you guessed it, golden!

Rhi's got a key to Jeff's apartment, they're both on the same page about life outside the experiment and they have not had one argument yet.

And yes, they're well on their way to falling in love.

It's the easiest 'stay' in the world.

Beth and Teejay

Teejay tells the experts about the questions from Beth's family, which he says scared him.

There is a "connection issue" between them that makes him uncertain, but Alessandra points out that initiating intimacy before telling Beth this was definitely giving mixed signals.

Teejay doesn't think he's been dishonest, but Alessandra isn't buying it: "There is a problem with connection because you're not wanting to connect with her."

Oh, snap.

The face of - why the hell did I choose stay. Nine

John asks him how he feels about Beth right now, and then he finally comes out with it.

The romantic connection is not there, he doesn't feel it building and he doesn't think it will build.

Beth probably should've heard all that before she wrote her decision down, because she has written 'stay'.

Teejay, however, reveals his 'leave'.

So, it's going to be a rather awkward final week.

Awhina and Adrian

John is genuinely surprised that Adrian had a great time in Perth, because he was counting on another bust-up between him and Cleo.

LOL.

He also wants to know if they've thought about the distance between them outside the experiment.

Adrian doesn't plan to move to WA anytime soon, which puts them in "a bit of a pickle".

He's down for long-distance, although Awhina worries about feeling disconnected. That's another pickle.

John tries to unpickle things by stating that Adrian once said he would only consider moving for the right person. So, is Awhina the right person?

Awhina listens closely.  Nine

He's not in love right now, he answers, but he has strong feelings for Awhina and can see himself moving in the long run if things keep progressing how they are now.

That starts with another week, as they both 'stay'.

Carina and Paul

Paul cannot stop gushing about how welcomed he felt into Carina's family this week.

Some advice from her mother about forgiveness and not holding grudges really struck a chord with them and they've come away feeling solid.

Paul has "very, very, very, very strong feelings" and can see himself potentially falling in love, and while Carina has love for him, she's also still working on falling in love.

They're on the same page about what the future could hold, which first up, includes Final Vows. Stay x2!

Jacqui and Ryan

The experts have said almost every week that they are confused by Jacqui and Ryan, but this week things seem pretty clear: Ryan is over it.

He wanted a partner, but he feels like he's "had a critic".

As Ryan claims Jacqui never accepted him as a person, she bursts out laughing.

Ah, there is that standard weekly confusion after all!

MAFS 2025 John Aiken

Hmm. Nine

After Ryan explains his feelings about Homestays, Jacqui says she feels like she's compromised on almost everything in their relationship.

For example, she... sleeps in now? She also lets him watch TV in the bedroom and stopped worrying about dishes in the sink, which John points out are rather niche scenarios.

She starts to become upset.

Ryan doesn't feel like he can meet her standards and Jacqui asks why.

"I complain about things that are normal," Jacqui claims, emotional.

The rest of the group are visibly frustrated by her deflection:

Huh? Nine

But even when Alessandra explains his point using the example of Jacqui asking Ryan "why don't you want to be someone great?" at the Dinner Party, it fails to sink in.

Ultimately, Ryan doesn't want to be moulded into Jacqui's dream man. He likes himself without her (many) tweaks.

Jacqui maintains that she can and does accept Ryan for who he is... with only a few exceptions!

Ryan's decision is very clear.

"I'm struggling and I don't want to be struggling, so unfortunately I wrote leave," he reveals.

But sadly, Ryan will not be heading back to his antique sword just yet because Jacqui has written 'stay'.

He does not understand her decision, and I don't think the group do either:

You can always count on Jeff for an animated face. Nine

"I think Ryan is worth fighting for, yeah," she says.

"No you don't," Awhina quips from the crowd.

Welp.

Better get drafting those Final Vows, Ry Ry.

We are about to enter the last days of the experiment – what on earth could be in store as the couples prepare for their final decisions?

Yep, we're definitely predicting a twist or two.
