A new MAFS expert has been confirmed for Season 14: Meet Marryam Chehelnabi
In 2027, Married At First Sight will return for Season 14, and there’s a new expert who will be joining John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla.
Marryam Chehelnabi, a highly respected relationship expert, will be joining the team as the experts help the couples navigate their blossoming relationships.

Marryam will bring a fresh dynamic to the panel of experts, alongside Alessandra’s passionate approach to intimacy and John’s signature ‘tough love’ accountability.
She will add a new dimension to the experiment in 2027 and no doubt slot right in on the couch.
Marryam was previously the lead therapist on Couples Therapy Australia, holds a Master of Science in Medicine from the University of Sydney as well as a Master of Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy, and is a PACFA Registered Clinical Psychotherapist (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia).
Her extensive background and wealth of experience will bring a fresh and distinctive perspective to the experiment.

Marryam add a new dimension to the experiment in 2027, for Season 13. Nine
Marryam will join the show for the upcoming season, filling a gap in the expert panel after the tragic passing of former expert Mel Schilling.
Mel announced in February this year that she would not be returning to the relationship experiment show after the 2026 season.
The dating and relationship expert, who joined the Aussie reality show in its second season in 2016, was a beloved face for 12 seasons.

Mel stepped away to put her health first and focus on time with her husband Gareth and 10-year-old daughter Maddie, after being diagnosed with colon cancer in 2023.
Sadly, in March Mel died at age 54.
The devastating news of her death came just 11 days after she shared that the cancer had spread to her brain.
“Melanie Jane Brisbane-Schilling passed away peacefully today, surrounded by love,” Brisbane said in a statement shared on his wife’s social media account.
"In her final moments, when I thought cancer had taken away her ability to speak, she ushered me closer and whispered a message for Maddie and me that will sustain me for the rest of my life.
“It took all of her remaining strength, and that gesture summed up our wee Melsie perfectly. Even then, her only thought was for Maddie and me.”
The emotional statement praised her as “an incredible mum, role model, and soulmate” who bravely faced cancer head-on in her early 50s.
