MAFS' Jono McCullough praises girlfriend Ellie Dix's 'resilience' in sweet birthday tribute: 'It wasn't the easiest year'
Married At First Sight's Jono McCullough has shared a sweet birthday tribute to girlfriend Ellie Dix, commemorating her "resilience" during a "tough" year.
"Happy birthday to my beautiful honey pie," Jono shared to celebrate her 34th birthday.

In another slide on his Instagram Story, he praised Ellie for coming through a year he said was not the "easiest".
"I am very proud of you, what you have achieved and the strength you have shown. It wasn't the easiest year at times but your resilience has been amazing," Jono write.

Ellie reshared this showing her appreciation, with a big "awww ♥️♥️".
Jono concluded with one final photo from their birthday dinner date: "Cheers to another year baby, I hope you had a good birthday."

Jono and Ellie met during Season 11 of MAFS, but they were not matched on the show.
After their respective relationships ended, the pair shocked castmates and viewers when they arrived at the season reunion hand-in-hand, confirming their relationship.
It was a controversial move, but Ellie and Jono weathered the storm and came out the other side stronger than ever, having bought a house on the Gold Coast and gone into business together as well.

In October, they opened Model Skin cosmetic clinic, run by Ellie, a registered nurse.
They marked their one-year anniversary a month later and shared their excitement for their future together.
"I guess it would've been easier to have just met you online like normal people but at least we have a great story to tell," Ellie joked on Instagram, celebrating all they had achieved in their first year.
