Jo McPharlin celebrates her son's 18th birthday, years after he walked her down the aisle on MAFS
Jo McPharlin quickly became a fan favourite one Season 5 of Married At First Sight, winning over audiences with her down-to-earth nature and infectious enthusiasm.
While the mother-of-two's wedding with Sean didn't quite work out, her big day was still magical, with Jo's son walking her down the aisle. And yes, we haven't forgotten how she told her son Angus to "slow down" in the moment because she was "in thongs, remember".

Years later Jo has shared pictures revealing that her son is now all grown up, having recently turned 18.
"I am now a mumma to an adult. When the heck did this happen 🤔. I am so incredibly proud of this young man and everything he has achieved in just 18 short years. Welcome to adulthood mate enjoy the ride," she wrote, alongside a series of family photos, including one of the pair having a beer together.

Many of Jo's co-stars commented on the post, wishing Angus a happy birthday… and in the case of Ryan Gallagher reminding Jo that she's "a bloody smokin mumma!"

Melissa Walsh also wrote a message of support for Jo's son.
"Happy birthday Angus. Wow 18. Hope you had the best birthday and life is amazing for you."
You may have noticed Jo is looking a little different compared to her wedding day. Since her time on the show the popular bride has undergone a dramatic weight loss transformation, going from a size 22 to a size 8.
She told 9Entertainment that the motivation behind the change was seeing her own mother become sick, and wanting to be around for her children.
"After seeing my own mum being sick, I just didn't want that for myself, and I wanted to make sure that I was around for my own kids, that I could run around with them and be the best mum to them that I could be," she said, adding that the health benefits were a major driving factor.
"You know, it's all about just making sure that I'm eating food that is good and healthy, it's not about the weight for me, it really isn't. It's about making sure that I have the energy and the health to stick around and be as happy as I can be."
