Married At First Sight's Cam Merchant has creditted wife Jules Robinson and sons Ollie and Carter for "saving [his] life".

In a raw and vulnerable post, the 41-year-old opened up about his "lowest" moment and just how he turned it all around.

Cam, a mental health speaker and advocate, detailed his own past mental health struggles in a candid message to fans.

Cam took to Instagram to share a sweet video of him playing with his son Carter.

Alongside it, he wrote: "When I was at my lowest I asked for assistance in life & was sent it in the purest form..."

"They saved my life & they don't even know it & I got the assistance I was praying for. Forever grateful ❤️."

He said in 2013 he was at his "lowest" before discovering his 'why' for getting mentally healthy again:

"To not give up & strive towards something I'd always dreamed of... My long life partner & kids," he explained.

"This thought alone kept me going & they came true & now they're assisting me in my life more ways than I can ever imagine & forever so thankful to my wife & my 2 beautiful boys ❤️❤️❤️"

Cam then shared a message to anyone else who may be struggling.

"If you aren't where you feel you want to be please know that's ok," he said.

"I've been there. Keep looking after yourself, with the right intentions & know anything is possible. Just give yourself that chance... To get through the next moment.. Stack moments which then become a miracle. ✨"

Jules and Cam were the first Married At First Sight Australia couple to get married for real after taking part in the experiment.

Cam dropped to one knee and proposed during the couple's Final Vows.

"I knew as soon as you walked through there and I just saw you just then, you are the one for me. You are the one that I love and the one I want to spend forever with," he said.
