Gia admitted the experiment brought up issues for her she needed to work on.  Nine

After cooking up a plan with the help of co-star Bec, Gia tried to win Scott and his trust back at the Final Dinner Party.

After reading her speech "basically saying 'let's give it one more shot'", Gia was hopeful Scott would want to try again.

Scott read out a letter of his own, saying him and Gia were "of different calibre" and calling it quits for good. He left his wedding ring on the table and stormed out for good.

For Scott, his dramatic exit was a build up of all the things he'd stayed quiet about for son long.

"The whole experiment, I never had a voice. I thought it was my only time to speak up and not let anyone shut me down," he told nine.com.au.

Scott said he walked out because he knew if he stayed Gia would just have made an excuse for her behaviour.

Scott said he has "nothing but respect for Gia" and wishes her "all the best".

Despite moving on with a new partner, Alan Wallace, Gia still has "so much love for Scott".

"I do think he's a great guy. I think it was just the wrong time for us and the experiment wasn't good for me personally."
