The experiment's dramatic Final Task saw all the brides and grooms meet with their second possible match.
While Scott and co-star David apologised to the new women and quickly left, many of the brides including Gia, Bec and Alissa entertained a connection with their alternative husbands.
Gia even went as far as to tell her very interested match James that she would be "done with the experiment in a week".

"It's a real life relationship. Everyone is going to have a different opinion but for me when I'm into someone and I see a future with them I don't let anyone else have an opportunity because there's no need for it," he said.
"I'm not looking at other opportunities, even if they could or couldn't have been my partner. It's invalid. I don't know them."
Scott said see ya later to his date in a matter of seconds. Nine
He didn't disapprove of anyone else's decision to remain at the lunch with their second matches "as long as there's no flirtation"

The groom hinted at what's to come next as he and Gia reveal to one another what happened on their alternate match lunches.
"We sit down and explain everything that happened. I told her and then she told me everything that happened," he said.
"I felt like she'd done the right thing at that point in time until I saw what really happened.

Gia's flirtation wasn't the only thing that blindsided Scott.
He was also caught off guard by Gia burying the hatchet with her sworn MAFS enemy Bec with the brides catching up for a wine to launch a scathing attack on their husbands.
After seeing their powwow play out on Monday night's episode, Scott was more confused than ever.
"I honestly don't know what's going on," the groom huffed.
"You are who you hang around. That's all I have to say."
