Exclusive: Steven opens up about his secret past in unseen MAFS 2026 audition tape
EXCLUSIVE: Steven may be a self-described "goofball" but there's more to the Married At First Sight groom than people know.
In his MAFS audition tape, the 34-year-old revealed he once looked very different – a side to him even wife Rachel wasn't lucky enough to know.

"When I was a teenager I was too busy trying to be a rockstar, I was a drummer," the now marine technician revealed.
It's hard to picture the groom with "long hair" and "makeup" but Steven did confirm he was very much a "metal head".

"I can't rock it anymore," he said of his long hair. "I'm out of it now and getting old."
And while his "metal head" phase seems like a lifetime ago, so does his last relationship.
"I've been officially properly single for at least 10-12 years, but I've been dating on and off since then and nothing has really stuck," Steven revealed in his audition.

The groom quickly learned "there's no compromises in the dating world".
"I'm a little bit sour on the fact that when I was bigger, I just got no attention," he admitted.
He said he worked his "butt off" to "turn myself into something that I really didn't believe mattered".
The groom still wears black, but with a much sharper look. Nine
"You either have to be Prince Charming or nothing," he sadly found. "You uncheck just one [trait] and it might be small... and that is enough to end it."
Steven said he "could vouch" from experience, although that's a story that needs to be heard.
