Exclusive: Ashleigh brands husband Jake 'selfish' after he breaks the rules of the experiment and flees back home
EXCLUSIVE: Ashleigh and Jake's relationship hit a snag when she wrote 'stay' while he opted to 'leave' the experiment at the first Married At First Sight Commitment Ceremony.
But with the rules of the experiment requiring the couple to stay for another week, Ashleigh thought she and Jake would get a chance to work on things.
That never happened.

In an exclusive interview, which you can watch above, Ashleigh explained that "[Jake] just turned around the next morning and packed his stuff and said 'I'm out of here'."
It was a move Ashleigh branded "really selfish".
"Even if we didn't find love together I was really hopeful to even learn more about myself," Ashleigh reflected.
"For him to decide he wanted to leave without even communication how he was feeling, it did upset me.
"So I just think, shame on you buddy, you selfish, selfish little man child."
Ashleigh didn't always have that impression of Jake. In fact, at first the pair really hit things off.
"He was really friendly and it was really comfortable and easy straight away so I thought that was a really good sign," the 34-year-old said.
But things soon changed when the couple moved in together.

"The more I got to know him, the less attractive I found him and I just realised he wasn't on the same level of emotional intelligence as me," Ashleigh continued.
"I had a lot of trouble with his mentality, he would just be a bit immature and the jokes and the fun and the laughs started to go a bit downhill because he wasn't taking anything as seriously as I was."

During the task, the groom slated the other brides' appearances saying Jacqui had "crazy eyes" and Sierah looked like she could "stab you in your sleep," amongst other shocking comments.
When Ashleigh called Jake out, he became upset that she had supposedly twisted things when, as he claimed, he was simply "making a joke".
Jake got even more upset when Ashleigh vented to bride Sierah about what had happened and called that a "betrayal".

Nobody else thought it was a joke, with the rest of the group being as outraged as Ashleigh was.
