Mel then added the hashtag "#ringthatbell", a nod to the patient tradition of ringing a bell to mark the end of one's treatments.

Friends and fans were ecstatic about the news with TV presenter Amanda Lamb commenting: "Thank f--k for that… I'm so immensely proud of you my gorgeous friend xxxx."

While she smiled through her workout with husband Gareth, Mel said working out was far from what she felt like doing.

"Three days into my fifth chemo cycle, I'm tired, nauseous and very foggy brained... but I'm battling hard with the big guy!" she wrote.

"Sometimes you just have to do the thing you least feel like doing, for your own good."

It comes after Mel revealed that going through chemotherapy "feels like being hungover" on UK radio station Magic Radio in April 2024.

But Mel said that despite not feeling her best, she's "here to fight".

"I'm just now trying to find the way to juggle everything, because I'm not stopping working. This thing is not beating me, I'm here to fight, I just need to make some adaptions," she said.

She's since had the tumour removed and in January told 9Entertainment she was thrilled to be well enough to film the latest season of MAFS UK.

"I wasn't sure how things were going to go, so for me it was such a joy to be well enough and strong enough to be there straight away," she said.
