Everything we learnt about the MAFS 2024 brides and grooms at the Hens' and Bucks' nights
We always discover so much about our brand new batch of brides and grooms at the Hens' and Bucks' Nights.
And it's fair to say after just a single episode, we're completely hooked.

First up, there's MAFS' most mature groom, 62-year-old Richard, who scoffs at the notion of people judging him for taking part in a reality TV show to find love.
"To them, I say f--k you all!" he grins.
Confident and mature, Richard is looking for a partner for the next stage of his life. Nine
There's 32-year-old Natalie, who confesses she is "quite different to a lot of girls" (but is actually, entirely relatable.)
"At times I've felt like I wasn't good enough," she admits, before listing a range of things she believes makes her imperfect.
Then there's Jayden, who is a renowned professional kickboxer (and the brother of Season 9 groom Mitch Eynaud). He may pride himself on his physical prowess, but he also has a mushy interior.
"I'm coming home for snuggles and back tickles," he says. "I love, love."
Ripped on the outside, soft on the inside, Jayden claims he is a "love bug". Nine
We then meet Lucinda, who has helpfully written her 'man-ifesto' on a scroll.
It's a long scroll, too and includes the requirement for emotional intelligence, humour and a "high functioning erection."
She quizzes the other brides as to what their "wedding mantra" is.

Lauren, 32, admits she can't resist a red flag and has no limits as to age or boundaries. This raises the eyebrows of the other brides… who quickly dub her as one to watch.
"I have a feeling they're going to put me with someone established, and maybe older?" Lauren smiles when asked about her future husband.
Andrea, a 51-year-old bride, looks a little wary.
"You're not stealing my man." Nine
"What's your limit, older? You're not stealing my man," she replies.
"Seriously, nobody's safe," Lauren laughs. "Your dad, your brother, all of your friends, your boss, your colleagues..."
Andrea is clearly stunned, and tells cameras: "Her groom had better be ready for her!"
Meanwhile, Michael, 34, grew up in Ohio, USA and has wanted to have a family and kids forever.
"I've been thinking about getting married for decades now," he admits. "I'm ready for the whole nine yards."
The other brides are thrilled when Michael turns up at the Hens' Night and declares himself "the new bride."

Over at the Bucks' Night, we meet Simon, a 39-year-old marketing manager.
When one groom quizzes Simon on what he's after in a female, he smiles wryly at the word "she".
The penny drops. The grooms learn Simon was married once before (to a woman). "I always had girlfriends," he shares. "It just took me a while to realise what my true sexuality was."

And unlike previous series, everyone seemed calm and supportive at the Hens' and Bucks'… with zero tension, no drama and no arguing.
Instead, the brides and grooms shared what they hope to see at the end of the aisle and what they want for their marriages.

"I've got hope, man," Jono, one hopeful groom, was seen saying. "I feel like it's going to work out!"
