Shannon takes a ruthless dig at his wife Caitlin during the confronting Photo Ranking task on MAFS 2023
The Married At First Sight Photo Ranking task always inevitably leads to someone crushing their partner's heart.
This time, that honour went to Caitlin and Shannon, as he showed his wife a different side to him thanks to some ruthless commentary.

Given photos of each of the women in the experiment, Shannon, 30, was tasked with ranking them in order of who he was most and least attracted to. "It's like a real life Tinder," said Shannon gleefully, before adding, "I eat with my eyes."

Putting Melinda at the top of the list, Shannon crudely said: "This one here would impress your mates."

"There's a way to express that, that doesn't make it seem like she's a notch on your belt," Caitlin, 27, told the cameras.
Shannon added Claire, Bronte and Alyssa to his top four, noting he would usually try to approach women like them but they would get "an off vibe from him."

"That's… interesting," said Caitlin, admitting in a piece to camera that she wasn't sure her groom realised what he was saying raised a red flag for "f--k boy behaviour."
Popping "older" participants at the bottom of the list, Shannon helpfully advised he was "attracted to the younger ladies."

There was a momentary flash of redemption, as he seemed to place his increasingly wary wife in an equal "top three", before he reconsidered and pushed her further down the list.
He helpfully let Caitlin know he had seen her without makeup. "You have the potential to just level up," he suggested.
"Their natural beauty shines more than yours."

Completely unaware of the impact of his words, Shannon noted he typically put emotions second to looks.
"But now, with Caitlin, I'm probably going to have to push through and put emotions first a little bit, because there are girls who I've seen who are more attractive to me than Caitlin," he said.
Shannon placed Caitlin in his top three, but later moved her down. Nine
"I'm not going to put her second just to be nice."
