'I honestly just think I'm stupid': Why Janelle wishes she handled the phone swap task differently on MAFS 2023
Married At First Sight bride Janelle has been dragged into the cheating rumours flying on the show.
Fellow groom Jesse stormed into her apartment which she shares with husband Adam, to confront Adam about where he stands with Claire.
Speaking to Today Extra, the bride explained that despite her initial complete trust in her partner, she felt like she should have responded differently when it came to the Phone Swap task during Confessions Week.

"Looking back at the footage from last night, I honestly just think I'm stupid," she told the Today Extra hosts.

"Because I didn't see how s--t scared he was."
The Phone Swap task required the partners to switch phones and go through them.
Adam was visibly reluctant to take part in the challenge and convinced her that it was unnecessary.

"Looking down a partner's phone for me is something that I just don't do," he told his bride at the time. "We're going well at the minute as well, so I don't even want to cause any unnecessary friction with this and I don't want to read into something."
Ultimately they decided not to do it, because if anything they trusted each other more by taking this approach.
But looking back at the footage now, the 28-year-old admitted that Adam's hesitancy was too strong for her to have ignored it.
"There's a reason why I asked my brothers to help me look out for red flags at the wedding," she said. "Clearly I don't see them.
"You could really read him like a book, he even said something like 'Kicked to the curb'.".
When asked whether she should have been more curious and concerned about Jesse's claims, she admitted: "Looking back at the footage yeah I should have."

On an evening out at a bar, Jesse claimed he had seen his wife Claire supposedly flirting with Adam and even leaving the group for some time alone. Later in the evening, he thought he heard Claire on the phone to a man, who he assumed was Adam.
Jesse stormed over to Adam's room to confront him but was met with a wall of denial.
Even after this incident Janelle said she didn't feel concerned because the phone call allegations didn't add up to her.
"I dismissed Jesse's suspicions because the accusation was that he [Adam] was on the phone to Claire," she explained.
"As soon as Adam got back from the bar, we cuddled on the couch, had wine, watched movies and called another couple, so I know for a fact that he wasn't on the phone to Claire because I was with him!"

At this point, Janelle hadn't heard details of what had happened at the bar and didn't feel the need to question it due to the positive progression of her relationship with Adam.
Despite the drama surrounding the allegations Janelle didn't seem too concerned and even hinted that the love department was going very well for her.
"I can't disclose anything but I am wearing a ring, that's all you need to know," she said at the end of the interview.
Married At First Sight continues Monday to Wednesday at 7.30pm and Sunday at 7.00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
