Exclusive: MAFS groom Adam finally discusses his mystery career after causing mass confusion at his wedding
During Episode 3 of Married At First Sight, the nation watched on as Janelle and Adam tied the knot in front of their friends and family.
The beauty influencer, 28, and business owner, 35, seemed to connect immediately at the altar, bantering and blushing their way through the entire ceremony.
However, concerns over the groom's career quickly arose after his new bride asked him what he did for work, with his unclear response sparking tension between the pair.

In an exclusive interview with 9Entertainment, Adam has now cleared up what he does for a living while describing himself as a "Jack of all trades".

When asked exactly what he's been doing for work, Adam replied: "I was living over in the UK and I was working in construction, but I was also doing bits of modelling and bits of other TV stuff..."

The groom explained that he's actually "an estate agent by trade", but after the pandemic derailed some his career plans he ended up doing "a bit of COVID-19 testing" alongside some other television work.
But the list didn't end there.
"I also have a little start-up competition business that I just started over in the UK with a friend of mine," he continued.
"I flew straight from London to Australia to come straight on the show, so I actually have that job to go to. But I haven't started it, because I came straight back for this.

Janelle laughed in the video: "I have no f--king idea what Adam does for work!"
She headed into the experiment with a strong desire for stability. After a history with men who she felt lacked ambition, she wanted a fresh start.
"It is really important for me that my partner is settled in their profession," she explained prior to her wedding.

"I'm a really ambitious person and I've achieved a lot in my career. Because I've achieved that I'm ready to settle down and I'm ready to commit to someone."
During the wedding, Janelle admitted that even her family had asked other guests about the groom's profession with the answers varying.
"It is really important for me that my partner is settled in their profession," Janelle said prior to her wedding. Nine
After his bride questioned him quite a few times about his job – even directly asking if he had a current "income stream" – the groom became agitated.
During a honeymoon lunch, he confronted Janelle about her worries over his career. After a tense but productive discussion, the pair seemed to sort some things out.
"Time [will] tell if that's something we can get over," Adam said.
"Time will tell if that's something we can get over, something we can work on or something we can work out," Adam said of Janelle's concerns. Nine
Janelle's brothers had more concerns than just the new groom's job ventures, as Adam cast doubt in their minds after alluding to a "dark past" in his vows.

Adam later opened up to Janelle's brothers – and Janelle herself – about his relationship mistakes, admitting he had once cheated on his partner.
"Some of the stuff in my vows I was talking about is that I had a relationship, I was engaged. This was about eight, nine years ago... I cheated in that relationship," he said.
Janelle thought it was a "red flag", but appreciated his honesty and wanted nothing more than to move forward in their marriage.
