Exclusive: MAFS bride Domenica opens up about her Vegemite obsession
If you've paid close attention to Domenica on Married At First Sight, you've probably noticed a few fun things about the makeup artist — including the Vegemite tattoo on her left arm.
It's fair to say you'd have to really love the polarising Aussie spread to get it permanently inked on your body. For Domenica, it's not just love — it's an obsession.

"Vegemite for me is like a comfort thing. It always makes me happy. I know what I'm getting all the time. I know that it's going to satisfy me. It makes me feel home. It's the only thing I want to eat when I'm sick or I'm feeling sad," Domenica told 9Entertainment.
"Compare it to relationships. Sometimes, obviously when you start dating, you don't know what you're going to get. For me, Vegemite, no matter what jar I'm buying, I always know it's going to be good. Like I know what I'm getting."

Domenica also has plenty of good memories associated with Vegemite.
"It's just a nostalgia of my childhood that yet again, it brings back memories. Like, I remember where I had a really good Vegemite toast at this café. It's funny. It's like an in-joke with myself, but also I just love it," she said.

Eagle-eyed MAFS viewers may have noticed Domenica's Vegemite-themed pyjamas and slippers. But she has so much more merchandise in her collection.
"I've got the AirPods case, I've got a stubby holder. I've got the personalised one with my name on it," she revealed. "My brother got me this artwork from this Australian artist that draws Vegemite jars with native Australian flowers in it. He bought me that for Christmas one year."

Domenica's dog Millie also has a Vegemite bandana.
"Yellow is such a happy colour and it makes me happy," the 28-year-old added. "So I like to surround myself with things that make me happy."

When discussing Vegemite, it's important to know where someone stands on how thick it should be spread.
"I'm a psycho. I like it really thick," Domenica admitted. "But you've got to have butter. And you've got to butter it really well, so like the butter sinks into the bread.
"You also cannot beat a Vegemite sandwich on just like really plain white bread, like Tip Top bread."
And there is also one other thing Domenica finds Vegemite very useful for.
"It's always good after a big night out because it's full of B vitamins. People seem to forget that, but it is the best thing for a hangover."
