Brent's Final Vows to Tamara were nothing short of explosive on Married At First Sight.

"I'll be honest, I planned to drop the cards," he told the hosts.

"I had taken shot and shot from Tamara and I wanted to say my piece and walk away then and there."

When asked if Brent went back and forth with what he wanted to say, the groom revealed it took him a week to write his speech.

"I was angry and I tend to say things when I'm angry and I didn't want to disrespect her... but I wanted to say things stern so she understood," he said.

"I wanted to articulate those words really well and say them so it didn't come across [like] I was talking down to a woman."

"Closer to the end, as the stresses of the experiment really started to wear us down and that homesick feeling set in, your true colors showed," he read out to Tamara.

"The refusal to give in or let go and eventually the inability to be kind destroyed us. And you never took responsibility for your part in our sh---- fate."

Brent described Tamara as "vindictive, spiteful and self-absorbed" before announcing that he was done with her.

In an exclusive interview with 9Entertainment, Brent admitted that heading into the Final Vows he was feeling "defeated".

"I kind of just needed to really voice everything that I had on my mind," he said.

"And voice all the good, and then voice all the bad. It was just my avenue to finally be heard properly, and in depth."
