Lucinda needed more in the effort department from Timothy, and Timothy was simply exhausted from all the emotional talk.

In their exclusive exit interview – which you can watch in the video above – Lucinda and Timothy looked back on what "broke" their relationship, and revealed where they stand in each other's lives today.

"One thing I'll never, ever forget till the day I die is my wedding day," Lucinda reflected. "It was just outrageous."

You might recall that for the first time in MAFS history their wedding was completely abandoned because of a freak storm.

But that wasn't the only outrageous thing Lucinda and Timothy recalled from their wedding day.

"From the start, from the chicken wing at the wedding, till the end, it was ups and downs, but looking back at it, it was a fun," Timothy beamed.

Lucinda admitted she wanted to give their relationship a "really good shot".

"Right until the end to be honest," she said.

"I think Melbourne broke us a bit, it was just a combination of things, and I think we both realised, let's just call it a day," Lucinda said, referring to Homestays Week.

So where do they stand now?

"We still stay in touch regularly, every couple of days she'll shoot me a message and we'll talk on the phone," Timothy smiled.

Lucinda had nothing but praise for Timothy.

"It's a beautiful friendship we've got, we both feel really blessed," she said. "Tim feels like family... I've got a very special friendship in Tim."

The groom also had a strong message for the couples who left early in the experiment.
