Tensions explode and friendships are tested as the Villa reacts to emotional exit

Emotions ran high after the fallout of losing two boys and a furious Grant and Eden went head to head, defending themselves and their ladies.
Eden was tasked with selecting a boy to leave the villa and told to make his choice based on who he thought was most likely to find love. He chose Jaxon to stay, meaning Justin was forced to leave – a decision some Islanders had a very hard time accepting. “It’s gonna blow up … it’s going to be fireworks,” Josh predicted – and he was right.
Directly after Justin and Elias left the Villa, the Islanders split into groups and started processing what had just happened. Erin and Eden were upset and defensive to learn that Tayla had claimed what they had done was unforgiveable. “It’s one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made in my life,” Eden explained, which is why he felt so hurt to hear people were judging him on it.
Erin challenged Tayla, Millie and Grant on what had been said exactly, asking if they had in fact said their actions were “unforgiveable”.
“In the moment, all your emotions are going,” Tayla explained, and Millie and Grant agreed with her. “How would you feel, making that decision?” Eden challenged her. “Let’s just give it a rest, someone’s just gone home,” Millie volunteered but Erin and Eden were upset, hearing that people had actually said they would judge them harshly on their decision.
“I hated every second of that,” Tayla cried.
“It was just a bit too much,” said Millie.
“It’s been a really tense night,” agreed Josh. “I did not see that coming at all.”
Eden calmed down and admitted, “It was a stupid thing that happened that was heat of the moment. Emotions were high. It’s pretty bad when you fight with one of your mates.”
“At the end of the day, it was very stupid on both our parts.”
Grant agreed that emotions were everywhere but told Tayla, “When another bloke starts going at my girl, I’ll back you to the f***ing hills mate. That’s just who I am.” Tayla was happy to hear he had her back, “no matter what” and explained that the fight had made them see that they would be there for each other during tough times.
Eden checked in with Millie, offering her an apology for how he had spoken to her. He took the time to explain why he had sent Justin home – adding that he felt she was there for the right reasons and that him leaving would open her up to the possibility of love.
Grant and Eden cleared the air too. Grant empathised with Eden for having to make the tough call and Eden explained he had been shattered to hear that others might view him harshly for it. “People fight every single day,” Eden said. “We had to resolve it there and then. We’re not kids here.”
Eden then went outside and offered Tayla a heartfelt apology and hug. “I do love you as a person,” Tayla said, returning his embrace.
“Are you boys OK?” Tayla quizzed him. “Yeah! It’s nothin’,” Eden smiled. “We’re all good friends, alright?”
On Love Island, everything moves at rapid speed and Tayla summed up the night best: “It was really good that sh*t could really hit the fan but then within half an hour, if that, we were all back on talking terms.”
