Love Island Australia's Tayla Damir has revealed her "ongoing battle with mental health" as she launched a business, selling affirmation cards.

The 24-year-old shared the news of her venture, Angel Energy and Co, in a post to Instagram.

"I always said, 'I will never start a business', and deep down I knew it was because I didn't feel like I was smart enough or good enough and I was petrified of failing. Well, after a lot of self-development and hard work, I have finally taken the leap of faith," Tayla wrote.

The former reality star added she didn't just want to launch a business to make money, but rather a company that could help others.

"I have started with my first deck of affirmation cards which I hope will bring as much guidance to your lives as they have to mine over the last year. For those of you who don't know already, I have an ongoing battle with my mental health.

"Over the years, I have found myself looking to my angels for guidance. It has been through self-help, self-development, angel energy and mindfulness that I have managed to view my mental health problems in a different light. I consider my mental health a reminder to look after not only my body but more importantly, my mind."

Tayla added that she "understands these kinds of things aren't for everyone", but that if her cards even help one person then she's done her job.

The influencer has previously spoken with 9Entertainment, revealing she struggled with anxiety during high school.

"I think, at the time, I was like 'What's wrong with me? Why am I so anxious all the time?'" she said.

"Since my diagnosis, I obviously have come to terms with different things that help and I can identify different things that trigger it.

"So exercising and spending time with people that love me, like family and friends, really helps me. Making time for myself and doing the things that I love — which could really just be going to the beach or going for a walk and getting fresh air — also helps."

"I told him no one would see these photos. I guess that's the last time he will believe that 😂🙈 Worth it though 💕."
