'I crossed boundaries': Love Island Australia's Matt Zukowski confirms split from partner Genevieve in emotional interview
Love Island Australia's Matthew Zukowski has revealed that he's split from his partner Genevieve after going public with their romance in 2021.
The TV star confirmed the news on the Where's Your Head At? podcast – which he hosts with best pal Anne McEvoy – explaining that while he and his ex are still in contact, the relationship has sadly run its course.

Matt began the discussion by saying: "I've been holding off on doing an episode like this for a while. Nothing has been healed yet so we're still opening wounds, but Gen and I have broken up."
He didn't reveal an exact reason for the demise of the relationship, but added: "We'd been on and off since last year, we were giving it another go.
"I crossed boundaries that I shouldn't have, I disrespected her in ways that... look, I'm not proud of it.

"It sounds like a cheated on her – nothing like that happened, it was nothing like that. It was more, in a way I wasn't loyal to her in situations that I should have been.
"I definitely lost my way, and was brought into cultures that are a younger version of me and I should have just been more true to who I am now and not done that stuff.
"Obviously it was too much for both of us, mostly her and she broke up with me."

Matt went on to apologise to listeners for "not being open" about what was happening in his life, and said: "I realise I have the responsibility and due diligence to come on this podcast and explain my situation."
He added that he'd since moved back in to live with his mother, but remains on positive terms with his former partner.

Matt often discusses all aspects of his life on his and Anna's podcast, and was met with nothing but support from his co-host.

He revealed last year that he'd got matching tattoos with his partner, with Gen getting an 'M' on her wrist while he got 'Gen' with a love heart on his bottom.
