Exclusive: Niko confirms split from Mia after 'things got difficult' following the Love Island Australia finale
EXCLUSIVE: Mia and Niko always thought long distance would be a huge hurdle in their relationship, and sadly that has been the case since leaving Love Island Australia.
The pair were voted runners up at the Grand Finale alongside Kaylah and Eric, while Em and Mercedes were crowned the Season 6 winners.

In an exclusive interview with 9Entertainment, Sydney-based Niko confirmed he and Mia, who lives in Adelaide, continued their relationship for around six weeks before calling things off.
"Interstate is hard," he said. "When we got out of the Villa, it was roughly about six weeks where we were talking, exclusive and seeing each other, travelling down to Adelaide and [Mia] to Sydney.
"After that it got a bit difficult, just a personality clash. It's nothing to do with her as a person, we just didn't align as well as we originally thought."

He said that he and Mia were "on the same page" and still had regular contact to support each other.
"She's a great girl. Our relationship on the show was exactly as it was shown, it was genuine. We have a great friendship. We get along really well."
Niko said he enjoyed watching the series and "reliving" his time there, but was now looking forwarding to working on himself and his construction business in the New Year.

He congratulated Em and Mercedes on their win, but felt like everyone came out on top.
"I'm happy for everyone and everyone's a winner, I feel like we all did very well on the show," Niko said.
"Just being on the show and going through all the emotions is good enough for me," he reflected.
