A 'love square' destroys the season's golden couple during the most chaotic day in the Villa so far

Things are getting MESSY on Love Island Australia.

A bombshell confession has rocked two of the most solid couples, and sent shockwaves around the rest of the Villa. In the words of Mimi, the tea is "piping hot!"

ICYMI: Hannah is coupled up with Niko, but she just confessed to Taylor – who is coupled up with Em – that she has feelings for him.

Krissy is also interested in Taylor, but she is coupled up with Dylan, who just kissed Sophie.

Are we all keeping up? This is chaos!

"I keep feeling like I'm in a fever dream tonight," Sophie said – and us too, Soph!

After confessing that his brain was "frazzled" by Hannah's bold declaration of feelings, Taylor wanted a bit of alone time for a good night's sleep.

So of course, right on cue, Krissy spotted him and pulled him for a chat.

They each confirmed they're interested in getting to know each other better – because why not muddy the waters even more at this point?!

The next morning, Taylor and Hannah both told their partners about her big confession.

Em's reaction was one of complete surprise.

Meanwhile, Niko was gutted.

"We've been the best in the Villa, everyone saw it from the outside..." he said, in disbelief.

But this also confirmed something he had been worried about.

"I expected it from you two, I saw you chatting a lot," Niko told her. "I knew something was up, should've followed my gut."

Taylor and Niko then cleared the air, as Taylor confirmed to Niko that Hannah was the one to confess her feelings and he was blindsided by it.

"I don't even know what can come from that conversation except for awkwardness," Taylor explained. "To me, Hannah is your partner."

Niko left the conversation believing that Taylor wasn't going to "go there", but that's not the impression Hannah was under!

Talk about complicated.

Later, Niko confronted Hannah again. He felt like she had been stringing him along.

"I feel like you've had me just sitting with you for a bit waiting for Taylor to be open," he explained.

Hannah said from her perspective, things had already "fizzled out" with her and Niko.

"Things only fizzle out when you put your attention into someone else!" he responded, walking away after declaring he won't be second best.

And just like that, the season's strongest couple imploded. Nothing stays the same for long in the Villa, does it?!
