Sophie Monk teases she's more involved than ever as the Islanders face 'tough love' ahead of Love Island Australia 2024

EXCLUSIVE: No one is more excited for fans to see the "twists and turns" of Love Island Australia Season 6 than host Sophie Monk.

And thank goodness, the wait is almost over.

Season 6 of Love Island Australia premiers on Monday October 28 at 6pm on 9Now.

Ahead of the show's premiere on October 28, exclusively on 9Now at 6.00pm AEDT, Sophie revealed she was more involved than ever in a season all about "tough love".

"I thought previous seasons had a lot of twists and turns but this one is incredible," the host teased, revealing the thing she feels "a little guilty" about in the video above.

Sophie told 9Entertainment she felt like even after six seasons as host, she learned things from the cast.

"It's a pretty fun job, isn't it? It's the only job in the world you can't complain about," she joked.

"The cast are perfect in every which way. They were there for love, but they were also extremely entertaining. I feel like I learn every year because they've got the confidence and stand up for themselves and own everything. I didn't have that in my 20s – I don't have that now!"

Season 6's 'tough love' is all about future-proofing the relationships – but the twists also had explosive results.

"We just threw everything you could imagine at them," she explained.

"I think they need it, because there's only a certain amount of time and we want them to know if their partner is going to stick around or not, really test their relationship to kind of save them time outside. I reckon everyone should date like this!"

It worked so well, Sophie thinks this season is guaranteed to be everyone's "favourite, by far".

"I just think we ended up with some really solid couples. But having said that, usually every year, I can kind of pick who's gonna win. I have zero idea of who the public will choose this year.

"Every time I walked in, I couldn't keep up. Normally you can kind of see early, like everyone watching... But you won't be able to predict it."
