Daniel Ricciardo hops into life-size LEGO F1 model ahead of the Melbourne Grand Prix
LEGO Australia teamed up with McLaren Racing to create an incredible life-size replica of the LEGO® Technic™ McLaren Formula 1™ Race Car.
The model is currently on display at this year's Melbourne Grand Prix at Albert Park, which ends Sunday April 10.
Australia's Daniel Riccardo was the first to see and interact with the life-like creation, as he returns to race on home soil on behalf of McLaren.

The build was designed in close collaboration between engineering experts from the LEGO Group and McLaren Racing.
It required 288,315 bricks, and took over 1893 hours to construct.
The build measures 5.7 metres in length and 2.4 metres in width. It was assembled by LEGO Masters judge Ryan 'The Brickman' McNaught.

Formula 1 fans will notice the incredible attention to detail in this build, including the V6 cylinder engine with moving pistons, steering activated from the cockpit, suspension and a differential lock.
The life-size replica will be available for fans to see themselves over the weekend at the Versor Tech Hub (near gate 10), at The Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix, Albert Park.
