Gabby and Owen's builds on LEGO Masters: Grand Masters of the Galaxy 2025

Gabby secured a third-place finish in Season 3 and fourth place in the Grand Masters season with LEGO partner Ryan, while Owen was the runner-up with Scott in Season 3 and later claimed the Grand Masters trophy in Season 5.

Ping Pong the Giant Orangutan | Episode 6
In Episode Six, the build was all about sabotaging Hamish.
Teams had to build the most creative and exciting booby traps to stop his journey driving a remote-control Jeep through their themed builds.
Gabby and Owen took their 'jungle' themed baseplate as a chance to create a build that was very different to any of the other team's.
Their 'big risk, big reward' moves had paid off in the past – could they do it again?
Ping Pong the Giant Orangutan | Episode 6
While the other teams created multiple booby traps, Gabby and Owen decided to build just one big one.
Their orangutan would drop a banana from one hand and use its other to launch Hamish's Jeep into the air.
Brickman appreciated the big swing and also praised their temple structure behind... but the orangutan's arm was make-or-break.
"Gosh, there's a lot riding on this trap," he said.

Devastatingly, when it came time for the car to be sent flying... the orangutan's arm fell apart.
"Rotator cuff just shattered," Hamish reacted.
After putting all their eggs in one basket, Brickman sadly had to send Gabby and Owen home.
It was clearly a shock, as Hamish pointed out they were "one of if not the favourites" to take out the competition.
"We didn't play it safe and that's kind of what I love about building with Owen," Gabby said.
Owen agreed, saying his only regret was that they did not get to do even more.
The Aztec Crocofish | Episode 5
Episode 5 was the What Lurks Beneath challenge.
In this challenge each team will be provided with an empty fish tank and a baseplate that sits on top. Teams will be tasked with building a scene both above and below the water.
Each team will be assigned an historic era to depict, represented by a Minifig.
Gabby and Owen nabbed Aztec as their era!
Teams must then build the assigned historic era on the top of the baseplate and create an otherworldly threat in the tank below.
In a tale of two builds, how did the Aussie duo go?

"We've built an Aztec temple framed by our beautiful jungle trees," explained Owen.
"The Aztecs have caught an explorer stealing treasure so they're hurling him off the temple into the waiting jaws of our crocofish," Gabby added.

The team put their mechanical skills to use by building a motor above the water and inside the temple.
Coming out of the temple would be a string that would dangle the terrifying monster up and down.

"We want to win the MAGIC Brick so we need a point of difference in our build," said Owen.
When it came time for Brickman to judge their build, he definitely agreed.
Hamish and Brickman were amazed to see the monster's jaws prey up and down beneath the surface.

"It's a real point of difference, so a huge tick from a technical perspective," said Brickman.
"Incorporating a mechanism under water, a LEGO Masters first so well done."

"You can tell that we are in Grand Masters of the Galaxy because you are doing all of the tricks," Brickman went on.
"The two trees that both go all the way down as a framing device, the sculpture in the middle highlighting colours in certain ways," he praised.
"It's a great little story and it ties together well."
