In the Grand Finale challenge, the teams earned the right to build absolutely whatever their hearts desired.
With free creative rein it was up to Teams Germany, USA and Australia to push themselves to their limit to impress the public voters and of course Brickman whose 'Golden Brick' vote would be worth 100 votes.
The teams had a whopping 28 hours to build a LEGO creation worthy of the global title.
It may sound like a lot of time but with their biggest challenge ahead of them, they would be needing every second of it.

Shane and Dianne wanted to present something totally out of the box for the Grand Finale build.
They went down a more artistic and conceptual path to produce a build inspired by 80s sci-fi films.
Their build depicted a lone spaceman who has travelled through space and crash landed on a never-before-seen world.
It was complete with a floating city and giant blue world.

If there was one word Brickman would use to describe Shane and Dianne's build it was "art".
"I've never really seen anything like this before. I love it," Brickman beamed.
"They had a vision from a colour palette perspective from the start and they nailed it."
Hamish added that he was a huge fan of the sunset effect they'd achieved by adding pops of orange.

The spaceman only made up one percent of the build but he was the key character in Shane and Dianne's story.
And even though he was small, Brickman thought his impact was mighty.
"There's a lot of emotion in his body language, the hand up to the eyes gazing into the distance – absolutely perfect," the judge applauded the artistic choice.

While much of Shane and Dianne's build was grey, there was no shortage of colour.
"Adding in the pink on top – like that's the terrain of the world – I think that's so eye-catching," Brickman said.

Brickman thought it was "extremely clever" of Shane and Dianne to create "cutaway sections" in the cliff face.
Each of the cutaways contained little sci-fi nods and stories.
"They're a great way to keep people interested whilst they explore their model," Brickman said.

Shane and Dianne had done Australia proud with their build.
But would it be enough to nab the LEGO Masters Australia vs The World winners' title?
Yellow Fishing Giraffe | Lily Pads Challenge
In episode 11, teams kicked off the semifinals with the Lily Pads challenge.
Teams were given 10 hours to build their own floating lily pad world, working with real water and within the colour palette chosen for them.
"Your lily pads must balance and float perfectly here in our pond," explained Brickman.
After winning the Batman challenge, Shane and Dianne had the power to choose each teams' colours.
Three teams would advance to the Grand Finale, the losing team would be eliminated.
So, how did the duo go?
Yellow Fishing Giraffe | Lily Pads
Dianne and Shane chose yellow for their build this week.
They wanted something big and fun!
"We're going to go a little whimsical on this one," explained Shane. "Our giraffe is going to be chilling on a lily pad, fishing with his hoofs."
"He just wants to relax and chill in this beautiful jungle oasis."
Brickman was impressed they pulled off such a huge character in 10 hours time!
