Camille and Caroline's builds on LEGO Masters Australia vs The World 2024
French competitors Camille and Caroline are no stranger to LEGO®.
The siblings were semi-finalists in Season 3 of LEGO® Masters France, and have come down under for another crack of LEGO® glory.

Camille is a psychiatrist, father and husband who has loved LEGO® since he was six years old. While his sister Caroline is a full-time graphic design student!

Cake on a Stand | Is It Fake? Challenge
During Episode 4, the teams were given a challenge titled Is it Fake?
They were asked to select one item from Hamish and Brickman's French Bakery and replicate it in LEGO.
At the end of the build, special guest Sophie Monk would be tasked with guessing which items were real and which were fake.
Brickman would score each build out of 20 on likeness and difficulty - and if a team could fool Sophie into thinking their item was real, they'd nab a bonus three points.
Here's how Camille and Caroline fared...

With its curved edges and intricate cream piping, Brickman deemed Camille and Caroline's cake the most difficult item to replicate.
"The hard part of course is the dome of the cake itself, it's got a criss-cross pattern in it, in a colour that not a lot of LEGO parts come in, it's so hard," Brickman said.
Camille and Caroline had to not only replicate the cake but also the stand it came on.
"The technique that you went with absolutely works for what it is, it's such a hard shape to do," Brickman applauded their approach to the stand.

But Brickman wasn't convinced that the real item and the LEGO recreation looked alike.
"I think you're going to need the three bonus points. The three points is what is going to guarantee your safety " Brickman concluded.
But special guest Sophie Monk was quick to spot Camille and Caroline's cake as a fake and their chances of nabbing those much needed bonus points were quashed.

Caroline and Camille were awarded 15 points out of 20 by Brickman.
But without any bonus points they were overtaken by Aussies Charlie and Hayley and sadly eliminated from the competition.
Even so, Camille and Caroline were "very proud" to be leaving on such a difficult build and were chuffed they got to be part of a French-themed challenge.
Alice in Wonderland x Crime |Twisted Tales Challenge
Episode 3 was the Twisted Tales Challenge – that's fairytales with a twist!
The teams had to pick one ball out of two barrels. In one barrel, was the name of a classic fairytale. In the other barrel, was a genre.
Their task? To combine both the fairytale and genre, no matter how bizarre, in a "crystal clear" build.
With a BIG Brick in their possession, both Felix and Annalena, and Peter and Ida had the power to pick their fairytales and genres themselves.
But for the first time this season, one team will be eliminated.

Alice in Wonderland x Crime |Twisted Tales Challenge
The siblings pulled Alice in Wonderland and 'Crime' from the barrels.
After "struggling" to build their original concept, a poisoned Mad Hatter tea party, the team quickly shifted their design once again.
"The difficulty is how do you transpose that idea into physical LEGO® bricks, so that's the problem," Brickman explained.
Their new approach, was a Mad Hatter crime scene, emphasis on the mad.
But with time quickly running out, Camille said: "At this point we're very worried, definitely not our best build."

A crime scene centred around a "cut-up card", while the Mad Hatter was holding a giant pair of scissors with "crazy eyes".
"The idea is great," Brickman praised.
"As far as our fairytale goes, Alice in Wonderland, I'm going to give it a big tick because we 100 percent know what the fairytale is," he said.
"But, the crime was the problem idea for both of you..."

"The downside of your idea coming so late is, it's the polish," pointed out Brickman.
"If we think about your Mad Hatter, he's supposed to be trimming the hedge.
"You never had the chance to finish the hedge, which would make the story much easier to understand," he added.
With that feedback, Camille and Caroline thought there was a high chance they would be sent home.
Green Frog | LEGO®GoGoGoKarts Challenge
In Episode 2, the teams were given the task of teaming up in groups of four to create the most incredible exterior to a go kart on top of a blank chassis.
Brickman would then give each go-kart a score out of 10, and each team would race their go-kart. They had to make it over the line with their kart mostly intact, and the team who got across the finish line first would receive three bonus points from Hamish.
As winners of the previous challenge, Felix and Annalena (German) got to choose all of the teams – two Aussie teams, and two international teams.
Camille and Caroline were teamed up with Americans Michelle and Krystle and decided to build a big Green Frog with "cute, silly eyes".
Each team also had to choose their designated driver, and race for the chance to win big!
