LEGO Masters winners Jackson, Alex and Fleur reveal how they’ll spend their $100k prize money – after almost losing everything
Exclusive: Jackson, Alex and Fleur are “overwhelmed” having been crowned the LEGO® Masters: Bricktacular champions and pulling off the impossible in an unmissable Grand Finale.
With a whopping $100,000 in prize money to spend, there was one heart-racing moment during Sunday’s episode where their win, dreams (and $100k win) almost came crashing.

With less than 20 minutes left on the clock, well into a 12-hour build, the team’s hero dinosaur slipped from Jacksons fingers, sending LEGO pieces flying across the studio floor – and the team into a panic.
“When I saw Jackson drop the dinosaur that he’d spent literally the whole build working on, my first reaction was, well, that’s it, we’re done,” recalled Alex.
But, the team had to commit. If there were ever a chance to win, they had to become the only team to pull off the mechanics.
That’s exactly what they did to win the $100,000 and champion title. How they’ll spend it, might surprise you.
“I’ve got a trip to Disneyland planned with my girlfriend later in the year, so that trip might be a bit more a bit more frivolous than it might have been before,” Alex revealed.
“Otherwise, probably something very responsible,” he added and Fleur agreed.
“I’m putting it onto my mortgage, we will do a small family holiday, but that’s, that’s a huge significant chunk of a mortgage,” she said.

“So that’s a really boring answer, but I am 50 next year. I don’t have that many years left of working,” she laughed.
After winning the second season of LEGO® Masters Australia, Jackson and Alex teamed up once again, six years on, this time with the help of Season 3 favourite Fleur.
To win a second time around was “an incredible feeling” for the boys.
“We’re just really proud to be able to come out on top against really competitive and really talented people,” beamed Alex.
“Looking at the other two builds, it could have been anyone’s game which makes the win even more exciting,” added Jackson.
In the first international showdown of its kind, the trio pulled off the impossible presenting a gigantic, mechanical Jurassic World build in just 12 hours.

They were crowned the world’s greatest LEGO® Masters, beating runners-up Oskari, Aura and Gabby, and fan-favourites Trent, Alex G and Felix, who came in third.
For the Grand Final, the teams were tasked with creating an action-packed build from one of three thrilling landscapes from Jurassic World.
The winning trio took a huge risk by creating a mechanical build. Fearful they couldn’t pull off the technical side of their build in time (or that it would simply collapse!) the team perfected their build to the very last second.
