Livinia meets a real life Geisha in Kyoto

Scenic’s Essential Japan tour had Livinia Nixon and her fellow travellers searching for more superlatives.  Tokyo, Takayama, Nagoya and Kyoto each had so much to offer. 

They visited the busiest places imaginable, closely followed by beautiful gardens, a bamboo forest, temples and shrines, neon lights in every colour, and gatherings of people with very quirky hobbies.

Scenic’s chosen accommodations, Scenic Enrich treats and Sundowner Cruise, along with superb meals were all special and it was a very happy group.

There was still much to see in Kyoto, and being the country’s capital between 794 and 1868, it is a city steeped in tradition and guide Momo knew just where to go for a most delightful stroll.
