Highlights:

Nestled on 12 hectares of tropical gardens fringed by the crystal blue Arafura Sea, Mindil Beach Casino Resort is only minutes from Darwin city centre. The resort offers stunning beachfront accommodation. From hotel rooms to luxury suites, there's something for every budget. Lincoln reckons the superior lagoon rooms are well worth the splurge, with pool access straight off your private deck! Chill out on the private beach, have a cocktail at the swim up bar, or indulge in a treatment at the Lagoon Day Spa, before being spoiled for choice with dining and entertainment options.

Lincoln was keen to learn about the Indigenous history and traditions of the local Larrakia people, so he signed up for a Saltwater Cultural Tour. It began with a Welcome to Country at the water's edge, followed by a talk about hunting methods and Lincoln had a go at spear throwing. Then it was time to learn fire making the traditional way using 2 sticks of beach hibiscus. After a well earned break with some damper, Lincoln and the other guests made string for weaving out of bark. The whole tour was an illuminating experience of traditional practices of the Top End people.

Darwin is world famous for picture perfect blazing sunsets over the water. Lincoln found the best way to enjoy it was to hop aboard Sail Darwin's 50 foot luxury catamaran. The 3 hour Champagne Sunset Sail had a relaxed, social vibe with an 8 course tapas style feast, music and endless bubbles. Watching the colours bounce off the waters of Darwin Harbour was a magic way to end a day in the tropics, and bound to be one of your holiday highlights.
