Highlights:

The ancient landscape of Litchfield National Park begins approximately 100 kms south of Darwin. The park is home to stunning waterfalls with clear plunge pools, lush monsoonal rainforests and magnetic termite mounds that look like massive gravestones. The park is spread over 1500 km2, but as Lincoln soon discovered the big distances were easily covered on a private helicopter charter.

Departing Darwin's heliport, they were soon experiencing the unique aerial perspective of Litchfield's stunning escarpments and waterways. Then it was time for an exhilarating landing on top of Sandy Creek Falls, and a swim at the secluded waterfall. It was a real VIP moment, best of all, being so high up meant it was croc-free territory!

After spending an hour exploring and relaxing, it was time for another scenic flight to Finniss River Lodge for a 5 star lunch. The all-inclusive luxury lodge is the ultimate base for exploring the Top End. On the edge of vast wetlands, the six high-end suites have expansive views and each stay includes tailored experiences such as cattle mustering and bush walking.

Lincoln enjoyed a fantastic meal including local barramundi, followed by a dip in their infinity pool. From April to September, depending on water levels, Finniss Lodge also offers guests the chance to experience the thrill of an airboat ride over the wetlands.

Lincoln reckons he had the perfect day out in the Top End, with one epic experience after another!
