The perfect retreat after a day exploring the Murray River, Par Five Shacks has 13 luxurious rooms, as the name suggests, right on Berri Golf Course. Available in a spacious king studio or deluxe 2 bedroom apartment, each has modern amenities, kitchenette and private patio with sun loungers looking over the golf course.

Conveniently situated next door, the Big River Tavern is a great spot for family pub-style meals. For a

more refined meal, Earth Restaurant is only a short walk away. Open for breakfast and dinner, Earth Restaurant provides innovative menus showcasing the finest local ingredients from the Riverland region. Lincoln enjoyed an amazing breakfast of perfectly poached eggs on house made sourdough with a side of haloumi, roasted tomatoes and sweet & sour onions.

Being one of the longest navigable rivers in the world, there is no end of boating, fishing, and kayaking options. Lincoln joined Canoe Adventures for an enchanting guided sunset tour. The kayak tour launched 5 minutes from Berri town centre and continued through wetlands full of native birds and kangaroos. The leisurely paddle was easy enough for all levels of experience and fitness, and the group stopped for a cuppa as the sunset lit up the magnificent limestone Bookpurong Cliffs. Donning head torches for the final leg under twilight, they searched the river gums on the banks for possums.
