Exclusive: Anthony Callea speaks out after being fired on Celebrity Apprentice Australia

After losing the Budgy Smuggler challenge, Anthony Callea and Martha Kalifatidis faced off in the Boardroom. Both stars were strong in their opinion that the other should be fired.

In the challenge, the teams had to design and parade new prints on Budgy Smuggler swimwear. The two teams impressed with their designs, but it was the performance of the launch event that let Team Fun-Raisers down, and cost them the win.

Martha was Project Manager for the team, and chose to take Anthony and Shaynna Blaze were responsible for the launch, back to face Lord Sugar.

In the tense Boardroom Martha was called out for being a poor Project Manager, but ultimately it was Anthony who was fired.

"Anthony... I do not understand what you did on this task to be perfectly frank. You were head of launch... Anthony, you're fired," Lord Sugar announced.

"That was my first experience of a Boardroom and I don't believe that I should be in the firing line," Anthony said as he left the competition.

"Overall we ticked so many boxes in terms of design and delivery. I actually don't know what went wrong in that task.

"From a design perspective and from a runway perspective we were totally on point. Apart from a lack of direction, essentially."

Anthony said it was "unfortunate" that he and Shaynna had been pulled into the Boardroom by Martha.

Despite being fired from Celebrity Apprentice Australia, the star revealed he "wouldn't have done anything differently" and is thrilled to have been able to raise money for his charity.

"I was in a position to be able to raise $20,000 for my charity, the Children's Cancer Foundation. That is so beautiful, to be able to go back to them and say, 'Here is $20K'," Anthony said.

Anthony also explained that when he takes on a project, he's across every decision.

"When you put your name to something, when I put my name to an album, when I put my name to a tour, I'm across every decision. I dot the i's and cross the t's," he said.
