'This is not your house': Woman's extreme lengths for plane comfort

A traveller has sparked outrage online after filming the extreme lengths she went to for comfort on a flight.

In a video posted to Wendy Karina’s TikTok, the travel promoter can be seen sitting in her plane seat, her bare feet dangling in a sling, on the Southwest Airlines flight from Texas to Hawaii.

“Always come prepared to rest on a plane flight four hours and over,” the caption on the video read.

It appears Karina’s feet, toenails resplendent in canary yellow polish, are resting in a sling hanging from her fold-out table.

If that wasn’t enough, she also modelled an over-the-head resting pillow for the video.

Karina’s video has been watched more than four million times since it was posted late last week.

Yet, if the comments on Karina’s video are anything to go by, the vast majority of those may have watched on in horror.

“Um, no Karen, put your shoes on, this is not your house,” one person wrote in response to the video.

“Feet out is never okay,” another wrote.

“These are the people you hope you don’t get seated by,” another wrote, using the ‘red flag’ emoji.

“Put your socks on for god sake,” yet another wrote.

Karina explained in responses to comments that she was travelling from Texas to Hawaii then to Las Vegas and back to Texas.

Travel time from Texas to Hawaii is more than six hours, while the flight from Hawaii to Las Vegans is more than five hours.

A flight from Las Vegas to Texas is more than two hours.

“It is very comfortable,” Karina said of the foot sling. 

“I was wearing sandals anyways. After a while feet tend to swell up with sneakers and this felt good. Feet didn’t swelled.”
