Where to stay in Bali: The best new hotels to choose from
There's no doubt about it, after decades, Bali remains a holiday hotspot for Aussies.
But yet again the destination has issued warnings to "naughty" tourists, by issuing new rules to travellers this week.
The rules, issued by governor I Wayan Koster, include respecting sacred sites, dressing modestly, behaving politely, paying the tourist levy online, using licensed guides and, following traffic laws, The Independent reported.

Anantara Ubud Bali Resort
If you want a peaceful holiday way out in the jungle, this new resort is a luxury option.
It's north of Ubud in the traditional hillside village of Banjar Puhu in Payangan.

It has just 11 rooms atop a scenic cliff overlooking a black sand beach.
It also has seven treehouses built above the nearby mangroves, a restaurant and saltwater pool.

Regent Bali Canggu
This upmarket hotel is by the beach in the busy, trendy hub of Canggu.
Choose from suites or villas with private infinity pools.
With nine pools and five restaurants, you'll barely need to leave.

Voco Bali Seminyak
In the ever popular Seminyak, this slick and modern four star hotel has everything you need for a Bali getaway.
It boasts a pool and rooftop bar, and rooms have the rare combination of both a bath and shower. You can even get a bed, breakfast and dinner package.

Best time to go to Bali
The best time to visit Bali is between the months of May and October, the dry season.
During the middle of the year - when it's winter back home - the weather is warm and sunny in Bali, usually between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.
If you want to narrow it down even more, either May or early September would be your best bet.
This way you're avoiding peak tourism and school holiday times, when flight prices could be increased.
