Solo travel: These are the best places to go after a break up
After a break-up, it's normal to want to get away and go on holiday.
And if you're lucky enough to be able to, experts have crunched the numbers to find the best places to go.
Miss Tourist bosses looked at wellness amenities, classes and workshops, nature and parks, cultural tours, shops, nightlife, affordability, friendliness, and safety to reveal what they call "the top destinations for a refreshing change of environment after a break up".

10. Australia
Australia came in at number ten for post-breakup travel, the research says.
As well as having plenty of distractions such as shops, the easy-going life is sure to make even the most broken-hearted feel better.

9. Japan
Japan is an all encompassing destination you'll probably fall in love with. No wonder it's one of the best places to go after a break-up.
8. Switzerland
You won't even think about you ex, because you'll be too busy taking in the dazzling scenery in this European nation.

7. Ireland
Everyone loves an Irish accent, and perhaps the friendly folk of the Emerald Isle will bring you back to life.
6. UK
From busy London to less- popular spots like Liverpool, (picture) the British humour will most likely help you forget your love woes.

5. Italy
While Italy might be a romantic destination for most, the research also reckons it's a good place to get over the break up blues.

4. Spain
Head to Spain and all your relationship worries will be behind you. Well, according to the survey which ranked the nation highly.
Barcelona could be a top choice, with buzzing nightlife and renowned architecture.
3. Singapore
Destinations in Asia came out well in the research.
The bustling and tropical city state of Singapore ranked 3rd.
It's famous for shopping, food, theme parks - and the Singapore Sling.
2. Portugal
The quaint streets and pretty beaches of Portugal are a perfect place for moving on with your life, the research found.
