Best sleep tourism cities revealed in global ranking
There's nothing like a good night's sleep in a hotel bed.
And sleep tourism is one of the biggest travel trends of the moment - a growing number of hotels are offering amenities and services to help guests get a healthy dose of rest while on holiday.
From pillow menus and blackout curtains to soundproof rooms and aromatherapy, some hotels are pulling out all the stops to ensure guests have a deep sleep while they stay.
But without relying on these gimmicks, where can you get the best chance of a peaceful (and great-value) night's sleep?
A new study from medical travel insurance experts AllClear has analysed thousands of hotel reviews across the globe.
It ranked cities based on the volume of sleep-related hotel reviews, the percentage of those reviews which were positive, and the average cost of a hotel stay, creating a definitive 'Great Sleep Value' Score out of 100.
