Singapore hotel offers travellers $950 refund if it rains during their stay
One of the most annoying things that can happen to you on holiday is getting rained on.
Unless you're specifically travelling somewhere for precipitation - like if you're skiing - rain is the last thing you want.
And now, a hotel in Singapore is doing its part in helping you avoid exactly that.
Intercontinental Singapore is offering guests the option to book a first-of-its-kind rain insurance package.

Guests at the hotel who book the Rain Resist Bliss Package ahead of their stay will receive a refund to the value of their single-night room rate if it rains.
Singapore welcomes more than 1.2 million Australian visitors every year – but, as those who have visited during wet season will know, it's a destination famous for high humidity and tropical downpours.
Andreas Kraemer, general manager at the InterContinental Singapore, said: "We decided to offer [the insurance] so guests can confidently book a stay any time of year and make the most of all that The Lion City has to offer, rain or shine."
It rains an average of 171 days per year in Singapore, with more frequent rain spells occur during November to January.

Guests who book a suite at the hotel can get rain insurance. Intercontinental
"Southeast Asia is renowned for surprise showers but there's no need to let that put a dampener on your plans and to make sure, we're giving guests an extra special booking option to provide extra assurance that they'll leave with a smile on their face – no matter what the weather has in store," said Kraemer.
The package is available exclusively for suite room bookings starting from SGD $850 ($965 AUD) per night.
Guests who book suites will also have access to Club InterContinental Lounge and the Club InterContinental benefits, along with a dedicated 24/7 butler for a hyper-personalised experience.

9Travel recently spoke with the head butler at Intercontinental Singapore, to find out exactly what his job entails.
"During the stay, I will be available to assist guests with any requests or inquiries they may have. This includes providing personalised recommendations for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing based on guests' interests, and arranging special services or experiences, such as spa appointments, restaurant reservations, or tours," he revealed.
He also shared some crazy experiences he's had, like getting a bar to open at 3am for a meeting and organising a beachfront dinner on a private island.
