The flight deals you'll find in Qantas' 12 Days of Christmas 2019 sale

If an overseas holiday is sitting pretty at the top of your Christmas wish list, we have some news that's likely to delight you.

Qantas has just launched its 12 Days of Christmas sale for 2019, with discounts up for grabs on domestic and international flights to a smorgasbord of destinations.

Just think: the prospect of jetting off to another country might be the one thing that gets you through the family politics of Christmas lunch...

For each day of the sale, the Aussie airline has chosen a different country to spotlight, with the deals available until Thursday 12 December.

Since the 12 Days deal began, discounted economy flights to South America, Australia and the United Kingdom for certain dates and months of 2020 have been "unwrapped".

These include return flights to London for as little as $1,219, to Santiago from just $1,099, and to Milan from $1,469.

As for the Aussie destinations, deals include one-way flights to the Gold Coast (from $99), Melbourne (from $119), Perth (from $209) and Hamilton Island (from $159).

The country for today, Wednesday 4 December, is South Africa, with return flights to Johannesburg in certain months of 2020 available from just $1,199.

The countries for the remaining eight days of the 12 Days of Christmas campaign are yet to be revealed.
