Passenger wakes from two hour nap to find flight hasn't even taken off

Normally getting any kind of sleep on a plane would be considered a big win.

But one passenger has gone from joy over a long snooze, to despair when realising where they'd actually ended up.

In a clip that's gained over 3.5 million views on TikTok, a couple shared how their seat neighbour had fallen asleep for two hours, only for them to realise they hadn't actually left yet.

Fellow flyer Fiona shared the clip, from on board an EasyJet plane that was slated to fly from London, UK to Split, Croatia.

"When the sleeping passenger next to us thinks we've landed in Spit, but really you've been stuck on the plane with engineering issues for two hours," she wrote on the video of them having a laugh.

"Still haven't left London.

"We found that funnier than he did. Sorry mate," she added in the caption.

An Easyjet flight took off without its passengers on Friday, leaving them to catch a bus instead.

In the comments, she further commiserated with the traveller, writing: "It's kinda heartbreaking! Thinking you've peacefully slept through the flight but then…"

Others were equally amused in the comments.

"The disappointment would've been soooo real," one person wrote.

"I would cry right after laughing," another said.

A few other people sharing their own similar situations.

"Yeah, as someone who struggles to sleep on planes, I fell asleep on a plane going from London to San Francisco, woke up and we were still sat on the runway at Heathrow," one person said.

"Omg this happened to me once at LAX back to Aus. Woke up and we'd been stuck on the tarmac for over twoUK hours," was another response.
