The most popular holiday home in the world in Australia's favourite holiday spot
Holiday homes are becoming an increasingly popular option for Aussies travelling overseas and now some of the most in-demand properties have been revealed.
Stayz has released its 2025 list of top international holiday homes for the travellers choosing the comfort and flexibility of a private stay, over a resort or hotel.
"Aussies have long chosen Stayz for domestic getaways, but now we're seeing more and more Aussies book private overseas stays in some of Australia's most loved international destinations," Stayz Travel Expert Sarah King said.

When it comes to the most popular destinations on the list, front runners Bali and New Zealand are no surprise. But interestingly six out of ten of the top international holiday home destinations are in Europe.
The best were selected based on popularity with Aussie guests, Premier Host status, glowing traveller reviews and unbeatable location and amenities.

Homes range from one to eight bedrooms with nightly average rates between $500 and $2,500.
Coming in at the top of the list is Villa Vienna, a sleek eight-bedroom escape in the heart of Seminyak, just minutes from Bali's best beaches and nightlife. It has a private Jacuzzi, sauna, and cinema.

While a pool remains the number one amenity, for both international and domestic holiday homes, travellers also prioritise parking, internet, air conditioning and a washing machine in their international holiday home.
"Increasingly, Aussies are looking for more than just a room to sleep in, they want memorable stays that bring the destination to life and become a trip highlight," Sarah added.
"In many instances, these homes offer private views, standout amenities, unique experiences, and sometimes better value than traditional accommodation."
