Whether you've already booked flights to Los Cabos or you're simply daydreaming about it, the fun part is figuring out exactly how you're going to spend your days.
This popular Mexican destination, located at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, has a lot to offer visitors of all different persuasions – it's not just boat parties, cocktails and golf, as you might assume.
You could always just wing it on arrival, but sometimes, knowing your 'travel personality' is the best starting place for putting together an itinerary.

So, read on to find out some of the delights Cabo has waiting for you, according to your holiday vibe.
The sunset snapper
Do a quick audit of your phone's camera roll. Is it at least 87 per cent sunset – or sunrise – photos? Great. Head to level nine of Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa immediately.
The resort's Rooftop 360 is called that for a reason – it's the highest bar in Cabo San Lucas, boasting gorgeous panoramic views of the marina, the Sea of Cortez and those postcard-famous coastal rock formations.

With that kind of backdrop, you won't cop any judgment for snapping dozens (OK, hundreds) of photos while you enjoy the cocktails and food menu.
The 'switch off' holidayer
If the goal of your holiday is to not have to organise or really even think about a single thing from the moment you set foot off the plane, an all-inclusive resort like Breathless Cabo San Lucas is going to be your bag.
With everything available at your fingertips, the only major decisions you'll face there will be: which pool to take a dip in, which view you'd like to enjoy your cocktail with (marina? beach?), and which of the many in-house venues to eat at.
A visit to the Breathless spa is also essential for melting away any remaining thoughts of 'real life' back home.
The meanderer
If you love nothing more than simply going for a wander, you should make a beeline for San José del Cabo, a coastal town a half-hour drive from Cabo San Lucas.
You'll love meandering through the cobblestone streets off the Main Square downtown, having a stickybeak in the shops – all the while admiring murals and the rows of colourful flags overhead – before ducking into one of the many bars or restaurants.

If you happen to be there on a Thursday night between November and June, you're in luck.
The weekly Art Walk sees the galleries in the Gallery District stay open late, creating a 'street party' feel as people gather to admire the wares and meet local artisans.
The foodie
Three words for you, oh epicurious one: farm to table.
On the outskirts of San Jose del Cabo, you'll find a range of venues serving up food that's as fresh as it gets.
Farm-to-table restaurants like Los Tamarindos and Flora Farms have become firm favourites among Cabo visitors, thanks to their delicious menus and picturesque surroundings.
At Tamarindos, we sat in the open-air dining area beneath a thatched roof, sipping on mezcalitas flavoured with ingredients harvested footsteps away, and tucking into dishes like mezcal shrimp, pork shank in green mole sauce, and arugula salad with a goat's cheese worth writing home about. Heaven.

The marine life enthusiast
You almost certainly wanted to be a marine biologist growing up (me too), and your idea of a good day at the beach is a dolphin sighting (me too).
Well, this part of Baja California is absolutely brimming with sea life, so you've come to the right place.
Swim with whale sharks, or go whale watching – orcas, humpbacks, gray and blue whales, among other species, are all found in the area.
You can even just sit at the Cabo San Lucas marina and watch the local sea lions sunning themselves on the wharves or cheekily trailing after boats in hope of a fishy treat.

If even reading the word 'winter' makes you recoil, Cabo is your kind of place.
We're talking 350 days of sunshine a year. Even in January – winter in the northern hemisphere – it's swimsuit and T-shirt weather.
A wild guess indicates you're the kind of holidayer who loves a beach club.
